The Admissions Process at AIB

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Nationally accredited and offers Financial Aid to those who qualify.

Getting Started

  1. Complete and submit the form with your information.
  2. Once you’ve filled out the form, we’ll be in touch. So, you can expect a call, text and/or email from us outlining next steps.
  3. Before we schedule your personalized career planning session and tour, one of our Admissions Representatives will be contacting you to get to know you better and what type of career path you desire.
  4. Navigating your choices for a career you’ll love may take several visits to our school, however, to ease the process, here are a few things you can bring that could be helpful. Financial aid is available to those who qualify:
    1. Government/State Issued Picture ID (must be valid)
    2. Your Social Security Number
    3. Tax information
    4. Proof of high school completion or equivalent.

Enrolling

  1. Attend your personalized career planning interview. We want to get to know you, let you get to know us, talk about your goals, and show you our beautiful campuses.
  2. Complete the Financial Aid process, if applicable, to make sure all required documents are in your file.
  3. Discuss availability of program start dates.
  4. You’ll be provided with a date and time for Orientation class, which is required, and happens on the Thursday before you start.
  5. Complete and sign your enrollment agreement package.

1 How Much Does Beauty, Barber, and Massage School Cost?

It depends! Beauty, Barber, and Massage school tuition varies from school to school and state to state. It also varies based on the program you’re interested in. If you’re interested in learning more about our programs and figuring out the financial side of attending beauty school, contact us! AIB offers financial aid to those who qualify. Funding your education can be as simple as using your VA benefits- American Institute of Beauty is approved for veterans’ training- Florida Prepaid and Pinellas County Vocational Rehab (if qualified).

2 How Long Does Beauty, Barber, and Massage School Take?

Again, this answer depends on the program you intend to enroll in! It can also vary by the schedule you choose or campus you choose. We have a variety of programs that range in length and offer several schedules to fit busy lifestyles of people who have families, full-time jobs, and other obligations! 3 How Old Do You Have to Be to Enroll in Beauty, Barber, and Massage School?

You have to be at least 16 years old.

4 What Types of Schedules Does AIB Offer?

Our schedules vary by program. Certain programs are offered full-time during the day, part-time during the day, and part-time at night. We know the aspiring dreamers and doers of the beauty industry are also busy with life itself, and that’s why we offer flexible schedules. 5 Do you offer financial aid?

Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Both campus locations in Largo and St. Petersburg offer financial aid.  Your future is worth funding. Don’t be afraid to learn more about what options are available for investing in a career you love.

Class start dates vary by program and campus.

7 Does AIB Help With Job Placement Assistance?

We sure do. We offer lifetime placement assistance. Even years after graduation, you are welcome to come back and get assistance in finding employment. While we don’t guarantee employment, we can help you get interviews, edit your resume, and practice interviewing skills. 8 Is American Institute of Beauty an Accredited Beauty, Barber, and Massage School?

American Institute of Beauty is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences, also referred to as NACCAS.

By attending American Institute of Beauty, an NACCAS accredited institution, you should have confidence in knowing that you are attending a school that has undergone a rigorous accreditation process that has evaluated educational quality in the programs offered and that AIB- an Accredited School has shown that it is meeting NACCAS established standards.

The accreditation process evaluates areas including the qualifications of administrators and faculty delivering the education; the relevance and adequacy of the curriculum, equipment and learning materials; and the achievements of students in graduating from a program and subsequently obtaining employment in the field. A school that has successfully completed an accreditation review should have in place the instructional resources and student support services necessary to assist you in achieving your educational goals.
