Planning out your back to school makeup and beauty looks is fun and exciting. Heads will turn and jaws will drop as you transform your look completely. A good rule of thumb for applying your school makeup is to keep it simple. Don’t go overboard since you’ll want to keep the time it takes to get ready in the morning to a minimum.
Copper eye shadow and lip colors are expected to be all the rage this coming season. Darken your brows and eyelashes and then make your eyes truly standout with a metallic orange shadow. To make the eyes pop even more, layer on the eye shadow to achieve your desired result. If you’re not ready to commit totally to copper, use it as an accent color. Apply the copper shadow to the center of the lids or just a swipe along the bottom lash line.
Matte makeup helps you achieve that “flawless” look. Matte primer hides blemishes and diminished pores. Then, choose an oil-free foundation shade as close to your skin tone as possible to maintain a natural appearance. Once you have covered your face and neck, set the foundation with pressed powder. For matte eye shadows, choose earthy colors and browns for your brows and lashes. Matte lipstick has a tendency to highlight dry, cracked lips, so make sure you exfoliate the lips first. After applying lip color, add a layer of lip balm on top for extra protection.
Maintain a Glow
Many of us wish to maintain our summer glow as we head back to school. To do this, you can add some color to your complexion with a bronzer. Another option is to use a small amount of coral blush on your cheeks. To complete the look, choose a natural lip color shade such as peach or nude. You could even skip the lip color altogether and use a sheer lip gloss. You can also choose to go au naturale with your complexion by forgoing foundation and applying a tinted moisturizer instead.
