How to Prepare for a Tour of American Institute of Beauty
Are you thinking about applying for a beauty education at American Institute of Beauty? It’s an exciting step for turning your love of beauty into a career but we know that it can also feel overwhelming. There’s a lot of things you should know before getting started and you may even have questions that are specific to you. The best way to get prepared is by taking a tour of our school!
Not sure how to get the most out of your beauty school visit? Don’t worry, we go over everything you need to know before coming for your visit!
What to Expect on Your Tour
At American Institute of Beauty, our team is committed to helping students throughout their entire journey beginning with their tour! During your visit, we’ll show you everything from the classrooms where students learn techniques to our student salon where they practice what they’ve learned on real guests. This is your chance to ask us any questions you have about starting beauty school and get immediate answers from those most qualified to help.
You’ll not only be able to see where you could be learning, but also how students interact with educators and clients. This is the best way to find out what student life is like at our school!
What to Bring
There’s nothing we require you to bring when coming in for your tour so don’t stress too much about this. However, there are some things you could take that might help you get more out of your visit.
List of Questions
Even when starting something you love, you’re going to have a lot of questions about how to turn your dream into a reality. The last thing you want to do is leave your tour only to remember a question you had when it’s too late. Of course, you can always contact us later to ask us what you forgot. But if you want to ask all your important questions at the same time, writing them down is the best way to make sure you remember.
Phone
Going along with your list of questions, you also want a way to write down the answers. The best way to do this is by bringing your phone to write down what you’ve learned. Whatever you do, don’t convince yourself that you’ll just remember all this important information. There are too many exciting things to learn for you to remember everything!
Personal Information
As part of our tour, we want to help you work through whatever you think is holding you back from taking the first step. If you want to learn more about our financial aid options but you’re not sure how to start the process, we can go through that during your visit. Our financial aid officers will be there to guide you through filling out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
To fill out your FAFSA, you’ll need to know some personal information. Here’s everything you need to fill out your FAFSA form.
What Questions Should I Ask?
Now that you know more about what to expect and bring on your visit, it’s time to get to the most exciting part. There’s nothing better than learning about all the techniques and skills you could be studying as a beauty student! We want you to feel confident when you take the next step, so be sure to have a comprehensive list of questions ready. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
- What programs do you offer?
- What would I be learning in your programs?
- What financial aid options do you offer to those who qualify?
- How are your programs taught?
- Are there different scheduling options?
- What school events can students be involved in?
- What is your school’s culture like?
- Will I get to practice on real guests?
- How do I apply?
These are just a few questions you can ask! Fill in your list with questions specific to you in order to help you get ready to enroll in a program that fits your career goals.
