Karen is one of the Customer Care Team Members (CCT) at the Bradenton Campus, where she joined the AIB team six months ago. Her position at AIB also marked her introduction to the beauty industry, opening the door to a new field and a chapter in her professional journey. As part of the CCT team, Karen enjoys being able to help others and contribute to a welcoming environment for the clients, future professionals, and team members she interacts with each day.

Before joining the beauty industry, Karen built an educational background that reflects her willingness to learn and explore different interests. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from DeVry Institute of Technology and has also earned certifications in both reflexology and phlebotomy. While these areas may seem very different from one another, they speak to Karen’s diverse interests and the variety of knowledge and experience she brings with her into this newest chapter at AIB.

Although she is newer to the beauty industry, Karen has quickly come to appreciate the impact it can have on others. She enjoys seeing people feel good about themselves and being surrounded by the creativity, learning, and transformations that happen throughout the Bradenton Campus. In her role on the Customer Care Team, she gets to experience that environment from a unique perspective while helping support the day-to-day experience of those around her.

Outside of AIB, Karen loves spending time with her three small dogs and one cat. As a newer Florida resident, she also enjoys getting out and exploring her new state, discovering more of the place she now calls home.

When it comes to navigating life, Karen reminds herself to take things “one day at a time” — and sometimes, one hour at a time. She also believes in approaching life with no expectations and no disappointments, trusting that it is all part of God’s divine plan. It’s a perspective that allows her to take life as it comes and embrace each new chapter along the way.
