Michael is the day Skin Care Educator at the Bradenton Campus and joined the AIB team at our newest campus in February 2026! With 12 years of experience in the beauty industry, Michael is passionate about helping people not only look their best but truly feel their best as well. He is a licensed Facial Specialist and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from State College of Florida.

Before stepping into the world of esthetics education, Michael spent 10 years training and working as an embalmer, a unique experience that gave him extensive knowledge in anatomy, biology, chemistry, and how the body’s cells interact with products and treatments. He has also received advanced training and certifications in dermaplaning and with industry-leading brands including Dermalogica, Skin Script, Murad, PCA, Elemis, Rhonda Allison, Cellcosmet, RMS Beauty, and Estée Lauder Companies.

Michael loves being an educator because he gets to share his knowledge while helping students grow into confident professionals. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching for him is watching students walk into the classroom nervous, unsure, or even scared, and eventually transform into confident “queens of the industry.” Helping students learn how to create memorable client experiences that keep people coming back is something he takes great pride in.

When asked to describe himself in one word, Michael chose “eclectic,” a perfect reflection of his many passions and interests outside the classroom. He has a self-proclaimed mild-ish obsession with LEGO and enjoys building large, intricate sets as a form of meditation and relaxation. He also loves exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends, visiting parks with his dog Maynard, and attending live concerts.

Originally born in Connecticut and raised in Sarasota, Michael enjoys seeing how much the city has grown over the years. While he loves Florida, he also enjoys escaping to the mountains, rivers, and forests up north whenever he gets the chance. He regularly participates in cold plunges with a close group of friends as a way to challenge and support one another, with his most recent plunge taking place in the 40-degree Atlantic Ocean!

Michael is also deeply connected to music and the storytelling within lyrics. Some of his favorite artists include Tool, U2, and Taylor Swift. Among his favorite concert experiences were seeing U2 perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas, which he describes as one of the most incredible venues everyone should experience at least once.

Some of the phrases Michael lives by are: “Don’t create any new problems today, and everything else will be okay.” He also follows a personal daily mantra: “Universe, take my will and my life, guide me forward and show me how to live.”
