Suzanne is the day Phase 1 Cosmetology Educator at the Bradenton Campus, where she has been part of the AIB team since the first class started at this new campus last September. She brings decades of hands-on industry experience into the classroom, with a career that began at just 18 years old. Suzanne has built her life around beauty, education, and entrepreneurship. What she finds most fulfilling about her role is pouring her real-world knowledge into future professionals and helping them build both skill and confidence as they prepare to enter the industry!

Suzanne graduated from cosmetology school at 18 and quickly stood out, earning an Instructor Education Scholarship from the school’s owners. After receiving her instructor certification, she became the youngest instructor in the school’s history. She later transitioned behind the chair, working at a Glemby Salon inside Dillard’s before apprenticing at one of the top salons in her city. There, she built a large, loyal clientele and eventually moved on to open her own private studio space.

Her entrepreneurial drive led her to open and successfully operate her own full-service salon and boutique for 35 years. After relocating to Florida to be closer to family, she managed a Fantastic Sams salon with a team of 10 before once again opening another full-service salon and boutique. Following the devastation of Hurricane Ian, which unfortunately destroyed her salon, Suzanne continued forward with resilience and determination. She dove back into beauty education and eventually joined the American Institute of Beauty team!

When it comes to the beauty industry, Suzanne believes in its limitless opportunity. She knows firsthand that this industry rewards passion, work ethic, and persistence; and that the possibilities truly are endless for those willing to put in the work.

In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her family and staying connected to the creative spirit that first drew her to beauty at a young age.

One of her favorite reminders is to stay resilient in every season of life, a mindset that reflects both her personal strength and her unwavering commitment to the beauty industry.
