The Best of Both Worlds: AIB’s Spa Therapy Program
Staying competitive in the ever-changing beauty and wellness industry is a must! The more education and diverse skill sets you have, the better. One way to set yourself apart is by completing American Institute of Beauty’s innovative Spa Therapy program. This program gives you the unique opportunity to learn two different skill sets, combined into one- Massage Therapy and Skin Care. Becoming a Spa Therapist could allow you to offer a broad range of services to clients, a flexible schedule for work-life balance, and versatile career options!
What is Spa Therapy?
Spa Therapy is a distinctive educational program that combines the areas of Massage Therapy and Esthetics into one. Not only could you become a licensed Massage Therapist, but you will also receive training in skincare, which could give you a competitive skillset for a successful career in the beauty and wellness industry!
In AIB’s Spa Therapy program, you can learn techniques in Massage Therapy that aid in relaxation and stress reduction and apply these skills in a real-world spa setting on actual guests! These skills include manual techniques such as Swedish and chair massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, hot/cold stone therapy, pre & post-sports event massage, hydrotherapy, and much more. In the Esthetics portion of the program, you can learn how to provide your clients with a comprehensive skin analysis and treatment plan. This includes studying skills and techniques such as European facials, microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, hair removal, skin peels, aromatherapy, and lash & eyebrow tinting, among many more topics!
On top of learning a variety of in-demand skills, you will also work with industry leading brands such as BIOTONE massage products and the Dermalogica skin care line. This can help familiarize you with professional grade products for when you start your career!
