Luis is the day Phase 2/3 Cosmetology Educator at the Largo Campus and has been a licensed Cosmetologist for 26 years! He has been a loyal and dedicated faculty member for 7 years, educating AIB future professionals. To him, the most rewarding part of being an educator is seeing the progress his future professionals make and sharing his knowledge and experiences with them.

When it comes to the beauty industry, Luis loves the ability to create different aspects in fashion, change lives, and help build up people’s self-esteem. He says that there is always something new to learn in this industry! When Luis isn’t educating, he is creating products for his skincare line called Gala Skin Essentials.

Luis has taken any opportunity that has come his way to learn and grow within Cosmetology.

He won 5th place in the OMC Hairworld World Championships in Berlin, Germany in 2000. He was a Fashion Colorist for Landoll Milano in Puerto Rico and has also worked in beauty pageants such as Miss Universe Puerto Rico, Miss Teen Puerto Rico, Miss Petite Puerto Rico, among other pageants in the Dominican Republic and Florida. Luis has also received certifications and training in Keratin Treatments, Brazilian highlights, balayage, ombre hair colors, oxygen facials, microdermabrasion, and so much more!

In his spare time, Luis loves traveling and enjoying time with his family.
