Meet the Educator: Massage Therapy
When it comes to succeeding in the beauty industry, knowledge is power. That’s where great educators come in. At American Institute of Beauty, our educators are experienced, passionate, and well-rounded. Ashlee Ragains, Massage Therapy Educator at our Largo campus, brings over 15 years of professional knowledge and industry experience to the school.
What is the Massage Educator’s Experience?
For professionals in the beauty industry, theoretical knowledge and learning how to do things “by the book” is important, but so is the hands-on experience you will receive while training in the Massage Therapy program. Ashlee has an extensive background in massage therapy, obtaining her license over 15 years ago. From there, she dedicated her time to gaining as much experience as possible and refining her skillsets while working at a salon and day spa on Clearwater Beach. Talk about luxurious! She then decided to go back to school for more education, this time zeroing in on her Full Specialist license, giving her the ability to work with both skincare and nails. She says the spa and body care industry is her absolute passion!
Ashlee has been a Massage Therapy educator for 10 years and is a self-described “Edu-tainer”. She enjoys making the learning environment fun and knows that’s the best way for her students to retain information about the human body, muscles, and massage therapy modalities. Ashlee says that massage therapy is her first love, of course, for all the benefits it provides the body, but that it has also allowed her to grow her career without limits!
