Tech-Forward Beauty Education
At AIB, we know that in today’s day and age, part of becoming successful in the beauty industry is understanding and using technology. That’s why we use the Milady CIMA digital learning platform. This platform enhances the in-person classroom experience, offering additional tools and educational content on top of the training you receive from our knowledgeable, licensed educators. Each of our programs includes 24/7 access to the comprehensive, mobile-friendly, easy-to-use, digital platform.
Our Milady CIMA program offers a visual and collaborative experience that promotes the use of technology, efficiency, and the delivery of educational content that supports various learning styles.
The Admissions Process at AIB
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.

Getting Started
- Complete and submit the form with your information.
- Once you’ve filled out the form, we’ll be in touch. So, you can expect a call, text and/or email from us outlining next steps.
- Before we schedule your personalized career planning session and tour, one of our Admissions Representatives will be contacting you to get to know you better and what type of career path you desire.
- Navigating your choices for a career you’ll love may take several visits to our school, however, to ease the process, here are a few things you can bring that could be helpful. Financial aid is available to those who qualify:
- Government/State Issued Picture ID (must be valid)
- Your Social Security Number
- Tax information
- Proof of high school completion or equivalent.
Enrolling
- Attend your personalized career planning interview. We want to get to know you, let you get to know us, talk about your goals, and show you our beautiful campuses.
- Complete the Financial Aid process, if applicable, to make sure all required documents are in your file.
- Discuss availability of program start dates.
- You’ll be provided with a date and time for Orientation class, which is required, and happens on the Thursday before you start.
- Complete and sign your enrollment agreement package.

It depends! Beauty, Barber, and Massage school tuition varies from school to school and state to state. It also varies based on the program you’re interested in. If you’re interested in learning more about our programs and figuring out the financial side of attending beauty school, contact us! AIB offers financial aid to those who qualify. Funding your education can be as simple as using your VA benefits- American Institute of Beauty is approved for veterans’ training- Florida Prepaid and Pinellas County Vocational Rehab (if qualified).
Again, this answer depends on the program you intend to enroll in! It can also vary by the schedule you choose or campus you choose. We have a variety of programs that range in length and offer several schedules to fit busy lifestyles of people who have families, full-time jobs, and other obligations! You have to be at least 16 years old.
Our schedules vary by program. Certain programs are offered full-time during the day, part-time during the day, and part-time at night. We know the aspiring dreamers and doers of the beauty industry are also busy with life itself, and that’s why we offer flexible schedules. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Both campus locations in Largo and St. Petersburg offer financial aid. Your future is worth funding. Don’t be afraid to learn more about what options are available for investing in a career you love.
Class start dates vary by program and campus.
We sure do. We offer lifetime placement assistance. Even years after graduation, you are welcome to come back and get assistance in finding employment. While we don’t guarantee employment, we can help you get interviews, edit your resume, and practice interviewing skills. At the Largo/Clearwater campus, AIB offers Cosmetology, Full Specialist (nails & skin), Advanced/Paramedical Esthetics, Massage Therapy, Nail Technology, Spa Therapy (massage & skin) and Fundamental Skin Care Programs.

The Largo campus has over 13,000 sq. ft. of classrooms and salon/spa areas with surroundings that provide a REAL-world learning experience. American Institute of Beauty is the only Florida Beauty and Massage Therapy School located in Largo, Florida, in Pinellas County.
We are conveniently located in Clearwater/Largo city limits close to Clearwater Beach, St. Petersburg, Seminole, Pinellas Park, Tampa, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Countryside, Oldsmar and the Gulf Beaches, just a short drive from anywhere in the Tampa Bay area.

We are conveniently located in St. Petersburg, city limits close to Seminole, Pinellas Park, Tampa, and the Gulf Beaches. We are also just a short drive over the Skyway Bridge from Bradenton, Palmetto, Parrish, Ruskin, Brandon, Riverview and other Tampa Bay areas.

We are conveniently located in Bradenton, city limits close to Palmetto, Sarasota, Parrish, Lakewood Ranch, Anna Maria Island, Siesta Key, St. Armands Circle, Lido Key, and the Gulf Beaches.
